Re: Vagabond Gross weight increase
Just got a text from my IA buddy and an email from the MEM-PMI stating they are approving the GW Increase Ken and I submitted. Once I get the "stamped/signed" 337, I'll scan the package and post it. I thought we were starting to have waffling on it with the FSDO as early as Friday, but they apparently came through again!
Thanks for y'alls help!

Update: Just got the signed field approval in the mail today. Here's the package (LINK: N4405H-FAA337_GWincrease.pdf). I'll have the Steve & Steve Show upload the spreadsheet used for the W&B so you can adjust for your particular PA15/17.

Re: Vagabond Gross weight increase
Curt,
Does your Vag have single controls or has it been modified for dual controls? What equipment and instruments do you have fitted? You Vag only weighs 709lb empty which is really good.
By the way, you can't change your serial number. My Vag is 17-190!

No, part of the issue I had with the whole sex change was that mine was single-controls. Among other reasons, single controls precluded mine from transforming into a PA17, although I do have all the tabs in the fuselage tubing. It's ready for the sex change should I decide to allow her to go that route.

Here's the panel clean-up we accomplished during this year's annual (minus placards). As you can see, it's fully IFR (rivers, roads, rails, etc.). It included overhauling the recording tach while giving it an OEM (J3/PA15) look; as well as the sensitive altimeter with matching face colors.

Been trying to keep Li'l Tweet on a strict diet, and we're looking at some ideas to lighten it further. However, she'll gain about 10 lbs after the C-85 installation (hopefully that's all)... another reason for the GW Field Approval.

So that's where that number went...

Re: Vagabond Gross weight increase
OMG it's got PA-17 throttle in it. Hold up the paper work. The PA-15 had the throttle on the left.
My PA-15 had a sex change but not completed, they left the throttle on the left. It is listed in the paper work as a PA-17 serial number 15-118, i.e. it was changed to PA-17, dual controls and all. I completed the operation shortly after I purchased it. Moved the throttle to right.

Hmm, the case of the wandering throttle...
