It was just a thought. Here in Australia it's hardly ever done.
I spent time in New Guinea as a lad, and there it was standard practice--with the elevation and high temperatures, the density altitude was commonly around 7-8000'. Combine that with a short, one-way, steeply sloping strip, with a ravine at the end------.
Your airport elevation is almost higher than I ever fly these days!
