aircraft trivia Q-- from the memory hole....
Im trying to remember the name of an experimental aircraft I saw at sun-n-fun in the late 80's or early 90's.
It was very distinctive..... no one else had ever built anything like it. I think it was going to be a kit--- but I never say any more of them.
It had a fuselage that was huge and watermelon shaped..... and it was set up like a rear loading cargo plane.
It was tall enough inside that you could fully stand up in it. it was even more distinctive in that the fuselage
structure was made from small steel tubing in a geodesic geometry. I think It was a high wing. Single engine up front. The cargo area was set up to be like a camper inside. Fridge- toilet- table-- fold down beds.
It was a very unusual design. (it flew in and back out later-)
I cant remember the name of the thing...… couldn't find it on google pics...… just wondering what happened to it---- does anyone remember seeing this thing ? I don't think I saw it the next year..... It was fabric covered.

The August 1991 Sport Aviation has an article about an aircraft called an Explorer that pretty much fits your description.
Same shape and size but it was a twin and was amphibious. Fabric covered flying RV !

I’ve seen pictures of that thing but am also at a loss. I’ll try to search and see if I get anything.
