Another for the Wreckord. Crumpled my PA-20 on the 23rd of December.....Need to rebuild the right wing, replace the gear, right lower motor mount area bent... Need to build a jack screw to move the that corner back into position. Will replace the firewall and boot cowl. Will make a three piece lower boot cowl...one that allows removal of the bottom section instead of how the original is with the joint in the middle. Thinking about Trimmers door stc's, Maule fuel valve and the PA18 gear modification. Called Charly Center...he's putting together a price quote for the Crosswind STOL wing tips and parts. Really want to move the aileron out and lengthen the flaps. Waiting on Avemco. Mark Moyle Platinum Ak. N7069K
Sorry to hear it. Good luck with the rebuild, sounds like you are going to have a whole different type of experience with the changes you are looking at.

Sorry to hear about you incident. Remember fhat you aren't the first nor will you be the last. Are you going the try and bend the fuselage back.into alignment?
Bend, yes. Once the boot cowl and wings are off I'll get a better idea of what is bent and how much. I'm hoping there isn't a twist. May replace one tube between the upper and lower motor mount bushings? Sand blast the clusters adjacent to the right front lower corner and the wing strut/ gear leg fittings. Might have to build a jig to hold the fuselage square at the gear mounts and pull that corner down? This is a 1950 Pacer. Was it built with mild steel tubing, 1018, 1020 or 4130? Thinking about manga fluxing the wing strut and gear mount clusters. Advice please!

Mark, I would suggest purchasing the drawing CD from the Short Wing Piper Club. http://www.shortwingpiperclub.org/sh...rawings-vol-1/
Very helpful with dimensions and materials along with assemblies. The fuselage is pretty much 4130. I have repaired many frames and have only had luck straightening tubes between two clusters when there was just a slight bow, mainly longerons. Usually find some compressed and kinked tubes if something is misaligned.
Photo of damage. Another question. Spar plates, the spars out board of the strut attach brackets look like they have spar splice plates riveted where there isn't any split . Can't find those parts in the Unvair catalog?
