Thanks Mark for the explanation of what must be not so fun memories. All of us can learn something from your efforts. Thank goodness all are okay, and sincerely hope the property recovery goes smoothly. Moe

Mark, sorry to see your misfortune but it looks like you've got a good plan and support (moral if not hands on) from our fellow shortwingers Rocket and Troy. Good luck on the rebuild.

Thanks Jim. I bounced my ideas off Budd Davission... Per usual Budd brought me back to earth. Stoddard's has quoted Univair heavy duty 1-1/2" wide gear, sealed struts and blank spars, less the ribs. Rocket is sending a box of Cleveland parts....should be able to rebuild a good brake and wheel set up. I need to call Charly Center to see where we are on the Crosswind STOL wing tip kit. Haven't called Dakota Cub yet for the fuel tank kits. Need to call Eddie Trimmer for his stc's on the doors and feul system. Who has a good stc for a flush mount skylight?

This is the picture album I did installing my skylight STC in our Tri-Pacer.

Cost is $90.00 plus shipping. Paperwork only.

You know , I have been called out all around the state to look at bent birds a discuss repair scenarios and the key variable is always the aircraft owner skill set. We went from the runway to the hanger and poked around mark's pacer which really wasn't all that bad... Afterword we head up to his shop were He has another bird frame welded up and judging by the quality of the workmanship Troy and myself really had nothing to tell Mark about fuselage repair and welding. A nice trip up the west coast of the state with just enough rain snow icing and terrain to make it interesting.
