Re: Tri-pacer Rudder/Aileron Interconnect
"Next, we can have a lively discussion as to why the PA-22 vastly outsold the PA-20 series."
That one is easy:
The PA20 Pacer was built for three years.
The PA22 Tri-Pacer series was built for about 13 years.

I have deleted one person on this forum after many warnings and a few phone calls and it was for personal attacks. I recently learned that he has passed away. It is a shame, he was very knowledgeable on these aircraft. As an aside, delivery is key.

Hey rookie!
Maybe we should start a thread about whether lean of peak or rich of peak mixture at cruise is better or running engines over square and see where those threads go!

Take it to Facebook. Then I won’t be tempted to waste my time reading the controversy it generates.

Re: Tri-pacer Rudder/Aileron Interconnect
I went scrabbling through my records today. My PA22-160 tail wheel conversion was done under an Engineering Order issued by an Aeronautical Engineer. That called for removal of the interconnect system. FWIW.

Re: Tri-pacer Rudder/Aileron Interconnect
I recently realized a previous owner actually disconnected the interconnect cables behind the baggage door with no log book entry, and didn't bother installing the correct nose horn or springs, on my tri-pacer. I will be much happier after my A&P installs the nose horn with the centering springs. My plane is a bear to try and fly and taxi without some help with centering the rudder & nose gear. To add insult to injury, the cables have just been laying there rubbing against the inside of the fabric on the bottom of the fuselage for who knows how long.
