Very nice, I like the mods you have done. What size and model tires are you using. Did you have to do anything to the brakes so the calipers don’t rub?

Those are 29" AirHawks, not shaved, on 10" ABW wheels. Standard Cleveland double pucks, I suppose with the larger wheel there is no interference problem.

STC is from Airframes Alaska, formerly Alaskan Bushwheels. I went with the 29" Airhawks because I planned to land on pavement some, probably could have went with 31's and kept the 6" wheel though.

Owned the 48 Vag just over a year, so far.

It's the first tube/fabric, non-electric, and tailwheel airplane I have owned. Timed the Vag's climb at 900FPM at 1000lbs @ 80F gross is 1150lbs and cruise around 80 to 85MPH at 2100RPM burning just over 4GPH with a C-85. The Vag can be flown under Light Sport rules, too.

Would you mind sharing where you purchased your 850x6 STC? I recall a discussion elsewhere on this forum where 800x6 was the largest you could get away with, at least per the Univair 22/20 conversion STC. Thanks
