    So your fluctuation in oil pressure was caused by the incorrect oil pressure relief valve housing?

    Maybe.... actually yes...I did replace the spring and ball as well. Didn’t do anything else.. bleeding air from the gauge was next. When you picture in your mind how a spring compresses between two flat surfaces and nothing to contain it like inside a bore slightly larger than the spring diameter, the spring will bow outwards in the middle.. put a ball on one end.. same flat surface, the ball will eject it’s self to the side. With the seat in the case at an angle.. the ball would move to the side until the oil pressure decreased enough to allow it to re-center in the seat..
