This plane gets better with every post, really fine work. Will you be filling in the top of the cowling in a dark color (black) like a P-51 Mustang, to prevent glare off the hood and matching the glare shield?

I'm curious. Is there a benefit and/or reason for painting the stripe last? When I did mine I painted the stripe color first, then masked off the stripe and painted the the rest of the fuselage. April 2016 005.jpgApril 2016 015.jpg

There are some colors that do not want to cover over darker bases... Yellow and Reds seem to be the worse... having a white base is best for color saturation... at least when it comes to the poly-tones... Stewart Systems covers real well over darker base colors... So I guess the answer depends on the product you are working with... otherwise, it doesn't really matter...
