Default Shorty's first adventure into Alaska's bush

Took advantage of the unbelievable Alaska weather and ventured out to try some remote/bush landings. This is my first go at it, I had a great guide and mentor. The plane performed most impressively! There is no doubt that a super cub could reach areas with shorter and more extreme strips, but I was very happy with where I got in and out of today. It was a great confidence builder and refiner of skills. I didn't get any pics of the skinny/short strips, maybe next time.

Nice, amazing the areas opened up to you via airplane. Please just remember Paul Claus' advice "if you can't get in after 3 passes leave, you wil try to talk yourtself into it". I tended to get too comfortable and push the envelope and ended up not being able to fly the airplane home. Now my moto is "I am flying this thing home". Be safe and have fun.

Yup, a friend balled up his Pacer in the bush due to a nasty x wind, the only thing he brought home besides himself was his Bushwheel.
