Default tail fin fit to tail post-- how loose ?

Now that I have removed the fin from the post-- and cleaned the post inside-- when I insert the fin-- I can wiggle the fin
a little bit. How much slack there is acceptable before you replace the post ? It MAY have has a piece of shim stock in it when
I cleaned it. Is it normal for it to have a little wiggle ? (maybe 1/8 inch about 1 foot up from the joint---)

PS I am trying to "delete" this but I cant find the button …………….

I was thinking of adding some .015 stainless steel shim stock in the interface......
