Hi. I whant to consult you what tipes of tires do you recomend me. We are building a experimental pacer with a continental 0-300 engine (145hp) and we whant your points of view what tipe of tire recomend us. The tipe of terraint that the plane are going to land is a dirt track or tracks that are in bad condicion, so we think use tires 850-6 or 800-6 what do you think?

Depends on what bad condition means to you! 29 inch bushwheels will handle most everything you can think of. Depending on weight they also make a 29 inch exp tire. http://www.airframesalaska.com/Alaskan-Bushwheels-s/1477.htm

Question on this, Is there anything out there between a 8.50x 6 and a 26 inch Airstreak?

quick question guys. If a guy had standard Pacer with standard brakes/ Univair conversion 22/20, I would assume you would need Cleveland brakes and what else? to operate 29 or 31" bush Tires????

Desser has a tire a little bigger than an 8.50. CLayton posted about them I think.

Get the Super Cub 1 1/2" axle wheels and brakes. The ones Univair uses in the STC has a short brake disc and the tire rubs the caliper. High pressure brake lines if you don't already have them is the only other thing.

Grove Brakes seem to be less expensive. They have a copy of the
Field Approval for use on a PA22-20.

Desser tire has a 27" tire to be used on a 8" wheel and since your pacer is experimental you could use the tires on Matco wheels. Tires are $495 A piece Matco wheels and brakes $346 A piece. desser does have a 6"smooth 22" tire for $225 A piece

I wonder why they can't retread alaska bushwheels like they do other aircraft tires?

The unapproved method but frequently done is to apply Bed Liner with a brush or roller. Perfectly acceptable for experimental airplanes.

I went with the four ply 850 smoothies with single park breaks Cleveland it works great

Goodyear blimp tires seem like they would be a good fit given your mission.

Blimp tires I had them on my supercub and they wore like iron that means they lasted a long time
