The Texas STOL RoundUp has been discussed in a few threads here lately but thought I would post here and see if anyone else is going. Has been raining here all week so haven't gotten much practice in but still planning on flying down either Friday weather permitting of Saturday which is suppose to be nice weather. The schedule and other pertinent information can be found on their website. http://texasstolroundup.org/

There will be a STOL Seminar on Saturday morning at 9:00AM. The Traditional STOL event will be Saturday at 1:00PM. The Obstacle STOL will be on Sunday at 9:00AM.

I attended this event when it was held at Llano, Texas and was a fun event if participating or just watching. Lots of impressive airplanes and pilots. Hope we can use this event to meet up with some fellow ShortWingPipers.org members. Hope to see you there.

Well we had a great time at the STOL Round Up in Hondo this weekend. Out of 54 participants 3 were Pacers. Weather was really bad going down on Friday and we had to divert to Llano and make the hour flight Saturday morning to Hondo. Was a great time, got to visit with lots of folks and met several new ones. Met TJ (TXAgFisher) but only got this picture of his plane waiting for his turn to compete.

Friday not so much. Not good when you can't see the pivot on the windmills.

Foreflight lied.
More than likely ForeFlight just relayed the information from the National Weather Service. Their "local knowledge" went away with the consolidation of the FSS's.

Steve, you should have taken a close-up of the "Brazos River Rat" decal. I thought that was a cool decal.

Dean's kind of an outlaw anyway. A quiet outlaw but an outlaw indeed. He tell you the "skunk in the hangar" story?
