I don't know your location, I use http://www.spenceraircraft.com/, here in the NW.

Sorry, I don't remember the size, I keep a selection for my needs. Do you have the tools for this type of job?

Service Memo No. 10 calls out 3/32x3/16 S-O ALUM BR HD RIVET. I went to a rib repair seminar at Sun & Fun last year put on by Paul Babcock who sells a rib repair and wing assembly DVD. I uses AN470A-3 rivets which are brazier head soft rivets. He said when you could still get the rib repair kits from Piper this is what they had in them. I shoot them with a 2X rivet gun or squeeze them if I can get the sqeezer in there. He also made a rib repair fixture and I was amazed at what can be done to a bent rib by tapping a paint stirring stick with a hammer a few times against the bend.

G'Day Steve,

Do you have a contact for Paul Babcock's DVD on wing assembly and rib repairs you mentioned? I am looking for all the information I can get! And I am sure others could use it also.
I suggested to "she who must be obeyed" (she is really gorgeous and after 32 years I still adore her) that I really needed to go to Sun and Fun next year to get all the "stuff" I need but sadly she has other plans - like Tuscany! (ask Cathy - she will understand) so I will just have to rely on the internet for the info. (I wonder if there are any airshows in Italy in 2008)

Regards, Curly

Curly, I will look on the DVD when I get home. I know Univair is selling copies of it for Paul and the Cub Club. Cub Club can be reached at 262-966-7627 or sskrog@cubclub.org or their website http://www.cubclub.org So far Cathy enjoys S&F and OSH. Hope to keep it that way but she would probably vote Tuscany over them any day.

Provence also works.

Hey, when you get to my age, the wife glady sends you off to the fly-ins, just for some peace and quiet.

Is that why my wife keeps asking me if I am going to this or that fly-in?
