Any company recommendations for re-webbing seat belts?

Thanks

Give Hooker Harness a call about belt replacement. If you don't already have shoulder harnesses installed, that is a must. Easy to install and well worth the investment.

Go to:

Last I knew, they supply an 8130-3. Call 'em and make sure. They also have seat belt/shoulder harness combo's for sale with an STC for about 170 bux a seat, if you are interested in going that way.

Thanks for the replies. I will look into all of the links.

We have a little time before we need to send them in. We are still looking at the shoulder harness/reel option. If we go with the shoulder harness I would like to find a setup before we pull the headliner out so we can locate the holes in the old liner to use as a pattern for the new liner.

Another hearty recommendation for the Hooker harnesses. Had them in the RV-4, they work great and are very comfortable.

I have a set of "Experimental"?? Hooker seat belts and shoulder harnesses in a Kitfox that I like very much. The seat belts and the shoulder straps are fastened together near the buckle so all you have to do is fasten the buckle and everything is hooked up. Does anyone have an STC or certification of some kind for this system in certified aircraft?
I have always disliked the system where you have to assemble everything in your lap before you fasten the buckle.
I need a new belt for the Tripacer,so I am looking around. Larry Huntley

We just bought the seat belt/ shoulder harnesses from Wag-Aero for the front seats. They are attached to the cross tube with a metal clamp(all hardware, including clamp, and instructions are supplied with the kit) The part number for black belts is H-608-000. I also bought the $5 Piper emblem to go on the belt buckles. I'll take a picture of them if you'd like.

Steve (Pierce); Do you still have the FAA Letter regarding their Policy Statement for seatbelts in digital form, or is it Posted somewhere on the Site? My FSDO has pretty much horsewhipped me into submission; I guess they got tired of driving out to pencil whip seat belt/shoulder harness installations. They don't wanna see any more UNLESS there is a Major Repair or Major Alteration involved (basically, cutting, welding or changing PRIMARY STRUCTURE), but don't want to mislead anybody about that...they smile on shoulder harness installations in "older aircraft". They feel that any improvement that does not compromise the airplane AND adds to occupant survivability is a No-Brainer. They also insist it is a LOGBOOK ENTRY based on the infamous letter (which, if it is already here, is MUCH easier for me than digging it out...). Again, unless structure is affected.

Nice headliner Zac. Is that custom made?

Our headliner is the "Mica" (grey) wool headliner from Airtex. It fit very well and wasn't as hard as I thought it might be as it was my first headliner installation.

I'm ready to install new seatbelts with shoulder harness in PXX. Wondering if anyone has great advice on where to cut the opening in the headliner. My thoughts are that if the cut was made either too far aft or forward of where it should be,the headliner will have a crease.
