Upper wing strut fairing

Hello. New to the site. Great information here. Just replaced my wing struts with the Univair upgrades to put aside the bothersome AD. My problem is the upper strut fairings. Previously each of these had a screw that secured them directly to the strut. What's the trick to keep these in place now?

Mine are held on with white zip ties.
