Covering around fuel tank cap?

The Wag-Aero wing tanks in my Vagabond are covered with the wing fabric top and bottom. I notice that Taylorcrafts use a grommet around the tank flange to attach the fabric to, and Citabia's always seem a little rugged, cracking, gaps, etc. in this spot. Whats the best way to do this? Pictures would be nice, not real good a visualizing things.

The Taylorcraft wings I recovered had a ring around the fuel filler neck to attach the fabric to. I think I still have one I can take a picture of.
