Does anyone have pictures of these cowl latches from Univair?

W98292-2-180 Stud

9947P130 Cowl Fastener Receptacle
6021401-36- Receptacle Cup

I believe I got these numbers from Steve Pierce. Thanks.

They are IDENTICAL to the cowl latches Piper originally used on the PA-22s. They just stopped "carrying them" under both Piper and Stinson part numbers. They aren't just "suitable", they are identical.

Beth Anne, I didn't give you those. I use Dzus fasteners like the original.

Cathy and I overnighted at a friends house in Tooele Monday night and flew south to Green River, following it to the Colorado River where we landed at Mineral Canyon Air Strip. Awesome trip.

Cathy flies the Tooele to Carbon County.

I couldn't resist landing at Mineral Canyon Air Strip. :D

Hmmm. Could have sworn I reponded to this thread ... was wondering if that is a coyote sitting next to your plane Steve! Do you have a part number for the Dzus fasteners you use? Any pictures? Thanks so much. BA

6.5 Dzus, the length is on the drawing. I can get you Skybolt' part numbers when I get back to the hanger.

I have all the tools and parts to install the Dzus fasteners like the original Clipper cowl. If you want to use the tools and install them I can send you the stuff. Here are pictures of one I just did. I made the left side open like the right with a 6" strip down the middle like the Pacer/Tri-Pacer.
