I haven't yet got strobes for my wings but I will be needing them soon. I don't really know where to mount the power supply. It seems to me that the best location would be to make a bracket and mount them on the outer compression struts but I am curious as to where other people have mounted theirs. I ran Polyethylene tubing in front of the spar as a conduit for my nav and strobe light wires. Also, where is a good place to ground the strobe and nav lights? I would think that one could put a terminal under any screw but again, I'm interested to hear what all of you have done.

Thanks,

Zac Weidner

Both of my planes have the power supply on the floor under the pilot's seat.

I already have a remote power supply mounted in the tail for the tail strobe and I am looking to mount the same type of strobe system in the wings. I don't like high voltage wires going by the fuel tanks.

Leave 'em out, save the weight and the distracting light after dark. ;)

ground to spar since its right there....
only ground hi-volt outer shield at power supply end
do not connect shield to black wire(new type Wheelen supplies don't like it)

Thanks for the tip Mike. I will try to remember that.
