Anybody going to the Reklaw Fly-In? We have a big group from here going. Even going to let Lee skip school on Friday with his teachers blessing. :D We can't wait, this is the kind of event that makes it all worth while. ;)

Heck it'll be 70-80 degrees and sunshine if we are lucky. Right now we feel like we live in the northwest. :o

Looks like a great time, I too am jealous of your long seasons down there, but look at that line-up of heavy steel-framed chairs. The old fashioned super-light aluminum framed lawn chairs are hard to find in stores these days, but though they are a bit bulkier, they stow pretty well flattened out. I've been scouring garage sales for 'em. That way I have enough useful load left to bring my favorite anvil along... :D

Plane is ready to go. I've been checking the long range weather forecasts for a couple of weeks now. I even bought a new tent.

Reklaw is such a unique place. Besides all of the airplanes and good food, where else could you see a bunch of old ex-hippie cosmic cowboy pilots sitting around the campfire trying to sing old Jerry Jeff Walker songs.
Only in Texas!

Let me guess, they were flying an AN2. Had a late night conversation with them. They had been visiting with Captain Morgan for some time.

Gosh this looks like fun!
I need to get off the internet and out in the garage to get working on my airplane!
This goes on the 2010 calendar, along with the 25th Annual Sentimental Journey (Lockhaven), Oshkosh

...alright, back to work
