Does anyone know where to contact the bloke who used to advertise in SWPC News and spliced endless trim cables? My trim cable is still servicable, but it looks like it may be the original (1958) so I figure it should be replaced while it is easy to get at.
I can't find his name or details in the couple of SWPC News that I didn't consign to the round filing cabinet
(I shouldn't do things in the heat of the moment ).
I also now have a better understanding of the reason you check for loose strands in 1/8" cable by rubbing it with a soft cotton cloth - NOT YOUR FINGERS! (Jeez they are sharp - and I bleed like a stuck pig!)
