Hi,
I'm trying to find out what the maximum extension allowed is for the Strut Forks... The closest thing I could find was on the Super Cub forum that says 15 threads out.? And somewhere else said a minimum of 5 or 7 threads ingaged ?.... I have Univair Struts and heavy forks on my Colt.
Also, what is the thread length on the heavey forks?
Thanks,
John

if you get too far out on one side and all the way in on the other because fuslage is tweeked, consider going in five? turns on the one side(both front and rear, or redo twist after)and out equally on other.... then use level under wings longway at struts and let air out of a tire to make level read same amount off level on each side.... this will be your new level point, now make sure if you have a turn and bank that adjust it now, so you center the ball in this position....

but preferable fix fuselage...... this just kinda covers the problem up, but it will fly just fine....

tail might not be in line, but that usually don't bother its flying right....

From my Clyde Smith notes:

15 threads max. showing on lift struts.

This is the only thing I have ever seen about them. Never seen a problem unless the airframe has been wrecked.
