I am at the point in my project where I am installing the instruments. I plan to use a reconditioned 1953 oil pressure/temperature gauge. Mine is the black faced type with the large brass fitting protruding from the rear for the oil pressure line. Does anyone know what kind of flare I need to make in the tubing to match this fitting. The brass fitting does not appear to be easily removable and the person before me used the original fitting on the instrument side and then AN hardware when linking to the engine. In other words, it appears they used the original fitting to connect to the instrument and AN hardware on the engine side. I just cant determine if I am using the standard flare these days (37 degrees), automotive flare or something else. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Standard 45 degree flare on the instrument end.
