I have a set of new Vagabond sealed struts from Univair which I need to spray and get fitted. As paint is expensive I want to make sure I get enough, but not too much.
Will a quart kit (plus catalyst and thinner) of Randolph EP-420W epoxy primer and a quart of Randolph enamel (plus thinners) be adequate for my struts?
Thanks

from their website:
One thinned gallon covers approximately 225 square feet with one coat.
Seems like mooooore than enough.

I think Tony is buying a quart though, so approx 56 square feet?
4 struts, each is about 8" around (as I measured recently for my door catches). How long are the struts? Hold on I'll check...

83.375" and 87.625" long per side, so roughly 19 square feet of coverage is required but please double check my calculations.
Yes Tony, a quart should be more than enough!
Do you have the part numbers for the new sealed struts? I may pick up a set. Cheers,
Joel

I powder coated mine and it turned out cheaper and probably more durable. I'm sure a little heavier though.
