TRoy,
I wanted to just check the screen after five hours of run time. The engine shops will check the screen multiple times during the 8 hour break-in they do before sending an engine out of the shop. No need to change the oil, just inspect the screen for metal.
Troy,
made it home today! A balmy -28 at the narrows this morning...calm in the bay we land in. took about an hour and my cylinders were smoking hot and the oil was ready to go; 80f. When i arrived in naknek I was disappointed my fuel truck pump was FUBR otherwise i would have just fueled up and headed to Brooks. Tomorrow!!!!
How was your flight in? Use a lot of oil? Temps? Ask Trimmer to check oil screen-this is an order from the high command! When you get back I will get you signed off on doing the oil pressure screen inspection.

I was hopeing to fly into town on easter but it looks like the weather is not going to cooperate. Darn! I have a few days in town at lake hood and then down to America to viset my Daughter. I will be returning on the third and had hoped to fly down to Veldez for the air show. Looks like I will be watching the highlights in utube instead. I always wondered what the tip of a prop at full power sounds like scraping the tarmac?????

I just returned from dropping off justin at practice lake so he can button up his grandfathers cabin on big creak. Coming back in the snow was an adventure I would only like to do in my own back yard!!!
