Parking Brake not holding
Saturday was beautiful for flying in NorCal. My first trip to Auburn for breakfast in 15 years....but on run up my parking brake wouldn't hold. The Johnson bar worked fine, and holding it kept the plane from moving, but pulling the knob wouldn't hold it...it just slowly creeped forward.
Is there an adjustment?
Is there a common problem that can be addressed?
Any advice would be appreciated before I call the shop....DeltaFlyer
Re: Parking Brake not holding
Just got the same problem but can't find anything at Univair...The valve on the firewall leaks oil, it's all I know so far. Any leads?
Thanks
Gilles

Howzzit going Steve?
From what my partner says ( I am away from the aircraft ), it is leaking indeed and I would go with the O-ring route. I can't find anything at Univair's. Have you got a lead for me?
Take care

I was not suggesting you buy a new valve, the drawing shows how to disassemble it, and lists the oring sizes so you know what to purchase.
It was the answer to your original question.
You should get thru this for a couple dollars and in an afternoon.
Oh, and its not oil or brake fluid, it's hydraulic fluid MIL-5606:
