any experience with the atlas-copco brand of drills ?
a neighborhood pawn shop has what appears a new in the box one-- tiny 1/4 inch lightweight thing---
just what I was looking for --- but they want 290$ for it. I remember I can get a new Sioux for about 300
plus or minus. It looks like they just got their price off e-bay-----
anyone have experience with this brand ? I dont think its worth 290$ to me when I can get as US tool one for about 140 $ It does look nice because its so tiny. I wanted a tiny one when I start drilling thousands of holes for the bearhawk spars and wings.

We use atlas copco electronic torque tools at work. They are built well and we have very few issues with them. I would imagine their pneumatic stuff would be built just as well.

Pawn shops are in the business to make money.
They will try to get as much as they can for all items they are selling.
Go in with a set price in mind and negotiate. Offer to pay half of what they are asking and see what they say. Haggle back and forth and see what happens. Do not go above your set price and walk away if you don't get it.
If you do not reach a deal, come back in a few weeks and try again. The longer it sits there the more they will bargain.
Good Luck,
Rick

I bought a lot of tools in pawn shops before the internet. I always had my money spread out in different pockets and would pull it out of one and say "this is all I have, will you take it." My brother and I had a route we made, me buying mechanics tools and him buying carpenters tools. It was sport for us really. Got a lot of lifetime warranted tools for a fraction nof what they cost off the tool truck but had to know what they were worth and do some negotiating.

I saw the same thing on Flea-bay for the same price-- so I guess thats how they set the price on it---
