So now that I’m working on the wings there are a few things that I have noticed right off the bat. One the False rear spar has holes drilled all the way down the row not sure why but might have to do with the Dope process in the past would be my guess?? Second that the leading edge sheet metal has be replaced looks almost new along with some ribs. It looks like I will be buying the rear flap spar cap on both wings, new false spars, and new butt ribs for both wings.

I was looking to buy from Dakota Cubs has anyone order from thence before? There are also a hand full of ribs that were bent during the rib sticking process so I will be fixing them also.

Looks like it went over on its back not bent from rib stitching to me. There are aluminum strips screwed to the cove so the fabric would stay stuck and there is the flap gap seal screwed to the trailing edge of the false spar. Do you have the drawing CD from the Short Wing Piper Club?

I've purchased Dakota Cub's ribs numerous times. They are my choice.

That areas is concave and the fabric doesn't always stay stuck there so Piper screwed that aluminum strip to hold the fabric in the cove.

This CD of drawings is invaluable when rebuilding.

Some new parts came in yesterday! After unboxing and starting to fit parts I noticed that the leading edge skin just like the butt rib looks like swiss cheese and will be ordering new ones along with the flap gap seal and the small triangle trailing edge piece the "Faring attachment plate". All of these pieces on the plane look like they may have been dropped and then straightened out not sure what happened and all the blown out holes! Nice to look at new parts.

At this point the work that I'm doing is for the next guy that gets into the wings and for me every year on the annual. What's the best way to have the hole locations not blown out on the new butt rib for the root faring? Tinnerman nuts or standard nut plates not sure looking for your toughs and pictures on how you did it.
