I was successful using this technique a couple years ago on my engine. I located the exact location by reversing the vacuum and using soap, the old bubble trick. Then I cleaned the leaking seam with acetone with the vacuum sucking in. Then I applied the sealer being careful not to get sealant into the crankcase. I did it by applying a small amount of sealant. I could see it being pulled in. I let it set up, then I repeated the process to see if more sealant would be pulled in. No leaks, two years latter and lots of hard flying.

Something else you can try. Had a PA-32 years ago that kept blowing oil out the nose seal. Replaced the seal twice, tore the engine down again, and still blew oil out the nose seal. Finally, moved the breather tube about 1/2 inch either up or down (forget now) and that cured the oil leak.

Interesting. Remember a Champ losing a lot of oil many years ago. As I remember ,bottom of breather tube was cut at the wrong angle and was sucking out oil. Changed that and ended problem. We will definitely check this out. Be a nice quick, cheap fix, eh?
Thanx to all who have contributed! Wonderful group Larry
