    It is an FAA/PMA'd part replacement for both the Piper and Lycoming part number. I see no need for an STC.

    Steve how do you get around the fact it's not on the aircraft eligibility list? .....only Cessna's on that list.

    The part number is that it replaces. Look in the Lycoming parts catalog, it was an engine part not airframe. Also the thing is PMA'd. If all else use the substitution of parts on aging aircraft AC.

    It lists the Delco part it replaces, that's all you need!
