<edit> I know the Vara-ese (spelling?) is like that, you have to enter the aircraft for the nose wheel to fall fwd.

Empty can be anywhere, it's only when you go fly that it has to be inside the limits!
Now, you guys do realize that for these airplanes Empty Weight is supposed to be without OIL, and it is part of the useful load. It wasn't until the 1978 amendment to Part 23 that oil became part of the empty weight. Oil is the only disposable load that is forward of the forward limit, every other item of disposable load moves the CG aft.

Thanks. Mind lapse. Still a very forward empty CG, especially for a conversion. Coming from the guy who has the furthest aft empty CG (to be re-weighed to confirm)
