    Default WTB 31" Bushwheel(s)

Went to Inyokern last Sarurday for the cheapest avgas I'll ever buy. While chatting in line I looked down and noticed cord showing through the left main tire. After some choice vocabulary I got my gas and headed home.
Anyone have a spare 31" or two they'd sell me? After the wing project I cant afford new, I'm just looking for something airworthy.
And before anyone recommends it; I cannot justify applying some sort of goop to "seal" up the tire. Being an IA I feel it prudent to adhere to the airworthiness standards and practices of the components mounted to my bird.20200509_123405.jpeg20200509_193512.jpeg

I hear Herculiner works real well to put on the tires. Lots of people do it.

I just saw a set of 31" tires for sale on Alaskaslist.com. Don't know anything about these, but you may want to have a look.

I nursed my 29's along for an extra 12 months by patching them with Herculiner. The bed liner doesn't hold up long and needs to be reapplied. By the end of the year I had lumpy tires. My new 29's have the extra thickness. I also purchased a set of 26 inch Goodyear's for my winter flying. I have been on BW's for years and going back to hard rubber tires has a learning curve. They also make a lot more noise landing.

The problem with used Bushwheels is there is no way to know how much tread is left. Been there and feel your pain. I bought new. I mow two 800 foot long plus areas at my home airport to limit my tires exposure to hard surfaces.

I have a 61" Grasshopper zero turn mower. I mow 3 plus acres here at the airport around my hangar, taxiway and the runways. My hangar is the blue dot in the enclosed photo.

I've been on alaskaslist. Was hoping something would be a little closer.
I understand that buying used, you have no idea how much life is left but new is not an option at the moment.

    200 feet should be plenty....
