    I was confused because this is a experimental thread. You can use some of the parts for a experimental project.

    I own (but didn't build) a PA-22 that was rebuilt and certified as E-AB.

    It underwent an EXTENSIVE rebuild, with a lot of fabrication to replace old parts. I think the build would absolutely pass the 51% rule today.


    It's not as simple as converting a certified aircraft. It has to be "manufactured," if that makes sense.
