    Default PA-22-150 Master Switch

    Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get a new master switch or where to send mine to have it overhauled?

This is the switch below the pilot's seat.

Thank you all for your help.

    All the best!

I have a working switch removed from a Colt during an upgrade. You are welcome to it.

I switched mine to a circuit breaker toggle switch as part of my alternator conversion field approval. I like the fact I don't have just 2 chances at a reset. By itself I would consider that a minor alteration due to parts availability and do it on a log book entry.

Mr. Dean Dayton. Thank you for your generosity. Please send the switch to my mechanic:

    Lee Hepner
    7040 East Fouch Rd
    Traverse City, Mi. 49684

Let me know the cost/shipping and I'll send you a check.
Thank you again for your help.

So you used Tyco W31 Fuse Breaker Switch or similar as your master switch?? What Amps 35 40??

Gilbert Standard AN3027 DP DT Switch will not have enough amps to handle the load as a master without a solenoid being in place. Think those switches are ratted for max 20 amps. Could be wrong...

    Jared,
you are correct, rated at 20 amps. My bad.

Here a switch rated at 30amps DC 30 volts. Double pole double throw.

Jared- 30 amp. W31 The alternator is a Denso 40 amp. controlled to 30 amps by a 3 amp. field circuit breaker. The 337s are on Andy Anderson's site. Homer came up with the idea and got the original approval and then i copied it and also got it on a field approval. Works great.

Thanks Frank will do that for my master replacement. Gilbert don't be hard on yourself so many damn different switches out there and even I forgot lots of times.
