    Should only be a fuse that is protecting the "up" position of the switch OR could be the switch (I had a switch back some years that only worked in one position)

    I guess I'll take the seats out and see how they wired the switch after the alternator install.

    You should be able to access the fuses with the seat installed. Usually a 1/4 turn fastener holding the cover on.

    I got the cover off of master sw box and found wiring looks good and so do the fuses. Maybe the sw is bad in the up position.

    Did you put a meter to it? Coroded fuse holders have been an issue before. Several threads here on similar issues. Get a metter and start tracing it out. Shouldn't take long to find the culprit.

    The up sw fuse was no good. Replaced and all is good.

    For future reference, here is the setup
    With the DPDT switch and fuses out of my Ď53 PA-20

    (Iím installing the SVENís STC for the lightweight battery and CB switch)
