Rebuilding an airplane is like a snowball. Thanks for the thread, will be neat to follow. Can you post the weight that you posted on FB?

    Hi,

If it's not an intrusion, it would be interesting to know ball park costs involved in some of the restoration phases.

    Guys...

We decided on getting a replacement left flap for the Pacer... A good used one would be perfect... If anyone has a spare let us know...

    Thanks.

    Brian.

I have a bunch of the SB819 sheet metal parts that I didn't need during my rebuild. Mark M. gave them to me, and I would be happy to pass them along if Andy needs them. I will take inventory of what I have left this weekend.

That would help... Not sure what will be needed but I am sure I can use them when the time comes.

Working on tearing down the right flap and ailerons...

Outboard hing of the right flap..

Blasted right flap hinges and back plate...

    Other side of the same...

    Cleaning up the spar...

    All cleaned up...

Reinforcement plate for the outboard of the inboard hinge where they like to bend... Black line on the flap is highlighting where this flap buckled slightly..

The plate gets installed on the inside of the leading edge in this location..

    Drilled for 3/32 rivets...

Plate installed and reinstalling the nose rib..

Starting the tear down of the left aileron...

Total of 6 hours into the project since the start...
