Max level flight speed for LSA at max. cruise power is 138 MPH, 1320 lbs. gross maximum. One of the dumbest RULES the FAA has concerns the Aeronca 7DC which has a max gross weight of 1300 lbs, but if you install the "no bounce gear", the gross weight goes up to 1350 lbs. and it is no longer an LSA. Now you take that gear off and put the original gear back on, the airplane can still not be an LSA. I tell guys thinking of doing it to do it, but NO PAPER WORK because of this asinine rule. I know........the FAA is here to help us. What a crock!!!
