    Clipper,
    Aileron cables behind the struts.

The top engine cowl is Pacer, Clipper hinge is different, only one side opens. I thought it was a 115 Pacer, but didnt see those aileron cables. I think Clippers had a more pronounced carb intake to, squared off in front, this must have a Pacer upper and lower engine cowl.

Good catch David, I didn't see the aileron cable. I have never noticed any difference between the Pacer and Clipper air intake scoop. I have rebuilt several Clipper cowls and have duplicated the right side on the left with the top center section like the Pacer. Nice to access to both sides of the engine easily.

Not to stir the pot, but I would have to say it is hard to discern what it is from this picture. My PA-22 has the aileron cables running up the struts...IMG_0411.jpg

So what changes were made to have cables run up the struts rather than n the wings? Did you install stick controls?

Here is a link to hundreds of Clipper pics, some have the square air intake and some slanted to the rear like a Pacer, maybe they left Lock Haven both ways https://abpic.co.uk/pictures/model/P...A-16%20Clipper

    A few of the pics

A field approval was done back in the mid 90’s for the Clipper flight control system and landing gear setup. So it does have sticks instead of yokes.

I have never seen a factory Clipper air intake scoop that was anything but square. They get cut off when the corners crack.
