It is impressive and far more capable than most people know. A plane ticket to Anchorage is cheap for anyone considering one and should be high on their list. Steve is a great guy and more than willing to answer questions and demonstrate the Producer.

The owner has not actually advertised it for sale, but I have been passing it around with the expectations of him advertising it soon. - Steve

Can you put 35s on a certified Producer?

If they are approved on the Pacer they would be.

If kept light, what is a typical empty weight?

It should be around 1200 lbs. My Bushmaster with 29 BW's is 1170.

But, I have made little progress as each step seems to create more issues. I respect anyone who goes through the STC process.
As a DAR and DER, I see what goes into the development of an STC. One of the companies I work with figures just a “simple” STC will run over $100K. Then once you have an STC, if it requires parts, you need to get PMA on the parts. Unless you can sell hundreds of them, the return on investment just isn’t there.
