Thinking of a 235
So we may have an opportunity to purchase a 1972 235F, before we jump in, just curious to find out some common maintenance issues, what to look for, what to avoid.
Thoughts ?

Re: Thinking of a 235
They are a great, honest, four-place Cherokee that really moves.
My hangar-mates at KHIO keep a PA22-150 in Bravo Three with mine and another PA22, and keep a 1964 PA28-235 in Bravo Two (with yet another PA22!)
Their 235 won "Outstanding Piper PA-28 Cherokee" at EAA Air Venture 2015.
Probably a lot of subtle differences between a '64 and a '72.
Your best bet might be to inquire on a Cherokee Owners group.

Re: Thinking of a 235
I flew a '66 235 (hershey bar wing) around the 'tiger country' of New Guinea for a while. A good solid aircraft, similar capabilities to the C#**^@182. As I recall, the only 'gotcha' was the same as for other PA28s of that vintage--if you turn the fuel selector off when it's parked on a cross slope, fuel could cross feed from the high side to the low, and may end up overboard. That can be expensive and kills the grass.
