    Default Triple Tree flyin

Flyin at Triple Tree Aerodrome. Sept 3rd thru the 9th. Located just south
of Charlotte N.C. It sounds interesting, has anyone been there?
Would like to get your comments and opinions. Thanks in advance!

I have yet to go but semi planning the trip this year. My brother has attended the past four or five years and sez it a absolute must to see this place. Lots of good articles in AOPA Pilot and EAA's Sport Aviation regarding the site and its history.

I went in my Tri-Pacer last year and plan on goin again this year.
It’s an amazing place and a great event! There is an arrival procedure just like SnF and OSH. It can get very busy so do check it out. Food is amazing there!

The wife and I are making plans to be there Friday - Sunday with the Clipper.

SC00 - 7,000 Foot - golf course quality grass with lots of airplanes and good people. This will be our fist year to camp under a short wing. Been going for about 9 years and enjoy the largest GA flyin in South Carolina.

    Camped twice. Very pleasant experience.
Can become crowded closer to showers (granite countertops !!!) / laundry (!!!) machines.
Extended good weather a must. There is a small creek that meanders around the parking area and floods easily. Good for a dip in the afternoon though.
Maybe going this year again, departing GE05.
