Default BUSH WHEELS ON A PA22

Has anyone considered putting Bush Wheels larger than 8.5 x 6 on the Main Gear of a PA 22 and Charging the nose strut higher to raise the front end? I've seen other Tricycle Gear Aircraft set up for unimproved fields. Does it seem feasible for the PA 22?

Mark, We installed 8.50s and aired the nose strut up on a Tri-Pacer. Landes makes a nose fork that allows you to mount a larger nose tire. Piper used the same nose fork on the Cherokee series. Maybe some of the Alaskans can shed some more light on this. Also you might call Wup at AK Bushwheels, he probably knows all the ins and outs of this mod.

I am told this fork will fit the PA22. http://www.airglas.com/nose_fork/nosefork_kit.html
