Congratulations to my daughter Megan on her Private PilotCertificate!! She worked hard in the Mississippi sun doing themajority of her training and solo last summer, then took a break for a StateChampionship Marching Band Season, and finished up in January. She isheading off to college next year and planning on pursuing flying as acareer.

That makes two of three of the kids trained in Short Wings. Hopefully we'll get number three done this summer!!

    Congratulations to you Megan!!!

I remember when I got my licence, and I couldn't have been any happier that day....I'm sure you felt the same way.

Now get out there and fly your azz off!

I agree Forrest. The examiner told Megan to empty my pockets into the gas tank!! The best part is that she lets me fly with her!

Empty your pockets! Pretty funny examiner.
I am still wondering how you got your kids to fly. I took my kids flying, offered lessons to them, no takers
    [sigh!]
What a pleasure to fly with your kids.

Same here, they grew up with it and enjoy going but no takers so far on learning to fly themselves.

Both of my kids (college age son/daughter) want to learn how to fly but I can hardly afford to fly enough myself.

I lucked out for sure! It has been great sharing the adventure with them.

The short wing has been a cost effective learning stead and the support of this community has been invaluable as well. Whenever there is a question, ya’ll have the answer!
