On the Platinum Pacer wings, the one thing I wanted to do but didn’t was to help reduce adverse yaw by using the PA12 aileron nose ribs and leading edge. They have a small radius on the leading edge when compared to the large leading edge radius on PA20 and 22 ailerons…. The PA12 ailerons dip into the air stream on the bottom side of the wings…that causes extra drag on the down wing side in a turn which reduces rudder input…

This should increase roll rate. Don't know how effective they were and why Piper did not continue with this feature.
