    Default Strut mounted doorstop

Howdy Gents, first time I've posted a picture here, hope it works! In any event wondered if anyone has ever seen one of these doorstops. Internet search to no avail so far. This is on a PA22/20 BTW. I am looking for a replacement of the door side only, I have a pilot side door and just the door side attachment on that side is not aluminum, trying to match. Thanks for any clues to find in advance, thanks for looking!IMG_0130.jpgIMG_0132.jpgIMG_0134.jpg

I have no idea why my post added thumbnails, I only posted 3 pictures, looks like a mess. Apologies!

That is an impressive door catch. I've not seen anything like it. Do you know where it came from?

I sure don’t. The aircraft was restored in 1995 and the builder then installed the door stops. I was hoping someone here could identify what or where they came from, ie, different aircraft make or some other application.

Similar but not the same. http://www.miss-pearl.org/start.html look for the picture "DoorRest.jpg" towards the bottom of the page.

The one you have includes the whole strap as part of the cast part. Yours are much nicer looking.

Well thank you for that, after looking at Pearl’s site I thought so too. Maybe the original builder made it.....better? The airplane was rebuilt in Arkansas so there is that geographical connection to the owner of Miss Pearl. More searching!!

Was wondering if a 3D printer could make it out of sturdy enough material and also something that could take chrome. Nice retro looking part though.
