Probably just a short wing!
James Ketchell took off from Popham, England (my home airfield) approx. two months ago to fly around the world in his gyro (a very short wing!)
He is accompanied by one other gyro and they are currently in Alaska having flown east across Russia.

Absolutely amazing. Wonder what it took to get permission to fly across Russia. I think you need a special mind set to do a trip like that in an open cockpit Giro. Most of my friends think I'm crazy crossing the Great lakes in the Pacer, or flying IFR at night over the Allegheny mountains. I'm not even in the ballpark.

Thats got to be a cold flight! pretty cool being able to take the time off and travel around the world. Bet the are seeing some amazing sights along the way.
