    Default I have PTS from studing the CFI PTS

    If every thing goes as planned, Don Lee, the renowned Bush Pilot and the worlds largest operator of Shortwing Piper, will be my examiner for my Airplane CFI the first week of August in Talkeeta, AK. I am taking the check ride in a TriPacer. It has been rumored his failure rate is not what it needs to be. I'm his man. I'm hoping no more than three bust will needed to pass.

    Good luck! Neat place to take your initial ride. My initial was with an examiner/inspector from the Minneapolis FSDO. They like to get first chance at the CFI initial rides before passing them on to a DPE if their workload won't allow. CFII ride was with a DPE, but it was time for the DPE's yearly observed ride so I had the privilege of having the feds for the initial and ii. Guess I was just lucky.

    Good luck on your ride! My initial CFI practical test was with CLT FSDO Inspector and CFII ride with a local examiner. Sounds like a fun ride with Don Lee.
