    Hi,

    It's my understanding now, an annual revealed the certainty of the engine needing work. I don't know details of the problem/s discovered. With that said;

    Engine needs work
    Excellent fabric - Sealed struts

    I spoke to Jim at length yesterday. It seems that the Tri-Pacer is several years out of annual, 7 comes to mind. So they were looking to get it back in annual and found low compressions, which prompted pulling a or some, cylinders, at which time they found rust in the lifters/cam. The panel is according to him basically original with a 100 channel radio as he had no real need for anything more & used a handheld when necessary. He also mentioned that the seats had been recovered, with Airtex seats i think I remember, a few years back. I am interested & the numbers he is looking at seem somewhat reasonable if a bit optimistic, but the 4-5 days it would take me to go out, pull the wings & load on a trailer then drive back is a killer.

    Hi Doc,

    If you, or anyone else for that matter, need help with getting it apart and loaded, all you'll need to do is ask. If I was younger and didn't already have a Pacer I'd snatch it up myself. "I've heard" it has a solid frame.
