Actual weight is better and gives you the real numbers. In some situations could be the difference between life and death.

In the past I have used actual weights or estimated actual when I did not have that info.
    91.3 PIC responsibility.

    91.7 Civil Aircraft Airworthiness

91.9 Civil Flight Manual, markings, and placard requirements

    91.103 preflight actions

    https://www.faa.gov/regulations_poli...A-H-8083-1.pdf

You decide, after all, it is the PIC that is responsible.

As far as, a burn test goes, i thought an A&P is able to conduct a burn test and verify the material to be safe, or not?

No more aching sciatic nerve pain after an hour or two hours or three hours in the seat.
They inspected and painted the frames. No repairs were necessary as I had recentlyreworked the frames to provide extra leg room.
What did you do to provide more leg room? I'm currently in the process of purchasing a 1950 PA-20, just about need to be a contortionist to get in the thing but once in I fit, barely. Sure would hate to have to get out in any hurry.
Sure could use a bit more leg room.

I moved the brackets that hold the seat backs to the bottom frame 1-1/2 back by cutting them and rewelding them. The center bracket that supports both seat backs was inadequate and had cracked on several occasions. I made n improved bracket to carry the load.

Thank you. As soon as I get this thing home and in my hanger I'm going to do this.

Gilbert, did you have any problems with head room also? I'm 6'2" so it tight for me in my 55 pa22. Love the mod for more lager room!
