    Default Fuel tank antidrag strut

So I spent the last few hours pulling my left hand fuel sender out, and I'm trying to figure out how the strut that goes through fuel tank works. Does it go through a tunnel welded into the tank? Or is it sealed on each end some how?

It goes through a tube welded into the tank.

..What 59Pacer said, the drag brace tube is welded in.

You can see the weld on one end of the internal tube on the corner of the tank in the second pic; first pic shows the inside of the tank with the drag brace tube passing through. (Don't look too hard at the plastic fuel can spout I found in there....!)
